GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — With school sports starting up again soon, professional trainers, coaches and volunteers came together in Grand Rapids Thursday to hone in on their emergency response skills.

Participating in both interactive and informational sessions hosted by Life EMS, Corewell Health and the University of Michigan Health – West, attendees reviewed emergency response procedures that have “dramatically changed” over the last few decades, according toMark Meijer, president and founder, Life EMS Ambulance.
