GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Corewell Health Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital says two new ambulances will deliver the best possible care to seriously sick or injured children, functioning as rolling intensive care units.

The Grand Rapids hospital and Life EMS ambulance service unveiled the two rigs Friday.

“We’ve custom-designed these units. They’ve very unique — probably some of the finest critical care units anywhere in the country,” Life EMS President Mark Meijer said.
