AHA CPR Instructor Course

The AHA CPR Instructor Course certifies the participant upon completion to teach either BLS Provider or Heartsaver CPR/AED and First Aid courses.  This class teaches new instructors about planning and course preparation, how to direct a CPR and First Aid class, practical skills testing, conducting written exams, and keeping your instructor status current.  An interested student should be well versed in performing CPR and hold a current BLS Provider or Heartsaver CPR/AED card.

Two weeks prior to the course a welcome email with pre course materials will be emailed to you; please register with a personal email.

Pre-Course requirements: Instructor Essential Course, this link will be emailed to you. This course is an additional charge and can be located on the AHA website.

Instructor candiate will be required to complete one student teaching monitoring session within 6 months of the Instructor Course date. As a student instructor, you will attend one of our scheduled courses to observe and assist. This will give you the opportunity to be monitored and receive feedback on classroom management.

Course Requirements for BLS Instructor course:  

• A current AHA BLS Provider card
• Completion of BLS Instructors Essentials Online Course (cost not included in course tuition)

Course Requirements for Heartsaver Instructor course:  

• A current AHA Heartsaver CPR AED card
• Completion of Heartsaver Instructors Essentials Online Course (cost not included in course tuition)
