AHA ACLS Instructor Course
May 22 @ 4:00 am - 10:30 am EDT
$325.00AHA ACLS Instructor Course
The AHA ACLS Instructor Course certifies the participant upon completion to teach AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) courses in both instructor-led and blended-learning course formats. This Instructor Essentials course educates participants on how to adequately use instructor teaching materials, ensure that students meet learning objectives, offer student coaching skills, provide an objective skills performance evaluation, and follow AHA Instructor and course policies.
The ACLS Instructor Essentials Course covers core content and discipline-specific content required to teach AHA courses and is taught in a blended learning format. AHA ACLS Instructor candidates must complete the online portion, followed by this hands-on session. This class teaches new instructors about planning and course preparation, how to direct an ACLS class, practical skills testing, conducting written exams, and keeping your instructor status current. An interested student is required to hold a current ACLS Provider card.
The final portion of the course is student teaching on a subsequent date. As a student instructor, you will attend one of our scheduled courses to observe and assist. This will give you the opportunity to be monitored and receive feedback on classroom management. This must be completed within six months of taking the instructor course. An off-site student teaching evaluation will accrue the instructor’s travel and time costs.
