DEDICATION OF STATE’S FIRST LEED-CERTIFIED EMS SERVICE FACILITY

Life EMS Ambulance continues growth in Ionia County

Life EMS Ambulance officials and local dignitaries broke ground on a 3,070-square-foot, $300,000 station at 1050 James St. in Belding, Mich. on April 29. The new, dedicated, single-story facility will be located on 6.69 acres in northeastern Ionia County. The new Life EMS Belding station is strategically located to provide ambulance service to the more than 12,000 residents in Keene, Orleans and Otisco townships as well as the city of Belding.  The station is part of an overall ambulance service coverage plan for Ionia County which also includes the station at 350 West Washington Street in the city of Ionia. In all, Life EMS serves more than 3,500 square miles of West Michigan, including Grand Rapids/Kent, Portage/Kalamazoo, Ottawa, Ionia, Newaygo, Lake, Mason and Allegan counties.
