Life EMS Ambulance has been providing community centered education for nearly as long as we have been operating as a paramedic ambulance service. Over the years our educational offerings have grown significantly. We attribute our successful growth to the focus that we have on our core value of providing a quality education for all.
Life EMS has, for many years, been a preferred American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center in West Michigan. We have over 100 (one hundred) instructors affiliated with our training center. In recent years our instructors have trained over 1,200 (twelve hundred) participants annually in the various AHA course offerings i.e. ACLS, BCLS, and First Aid.
Life EMS, recognizing the need for the continued depth of quality EMS providers in West Michigan, has been certified with the Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH) to provide Medical first responder (MFR) and Basic Emergency Medical Technician training for many years. In early 2006 Life EMS had another milestone as we became officially licensed with the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth as a Proprietary School, thus allowing us to also offer a Paramedic program. Life EMS extended its course offerings significantly in 2008 by obtaining certifications with MDCH to be a recognized Continuing Education Program Sponsor as well as a certified Emergency Medical Services Instructor Coordinator Program Sponsor.
In mid 2008 Life EMS continues to pursue new opportunities for development and established our selves with the Emergency Care & Safety Institute (ECSI) as an Education Center for Bloodborne Pathogens Training. ECSI is a recognized global training organization with it's program development being steered by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American College of Emergency Physicians.
With over 100 (one hundred) AHA affiliated instructors and many State licensed EMS Instructor Coordinators working with Life EMS we are fortunate to say that we are able to meet the educational needs of the communities that we serve. Whether it be a CPR class for a local church or business, a MFR course for a rural fire department, or training the future Paramedic, Life EMS is committed to our tradition of quality education.
